The ECL-600 is a fire-rated exit control lock designed for secondary fire exits where security and theft prevention are critical. This relatching exit device combines a 1" throw deadbolt with a 3/4" dead locking latchbolt to provide managed egress control on doors that must remain secure during normal operations but allow immediate exit during emergencies. Detex built this device to address the common problem of unauthorized exits through fire doors in retail, warehouse, and industrial facilities.

The unit features a 100-decibel alarm that activates when the door is opened and can only be reset with a control key. Its attack-resistant steel construction withstands over 2200 lbs of outside pull force while the relatching mechanism provides additional security after each use. The corrosion-resistant alloy lockbody and non-handed design simplify installation across different door configurations. Detex classifies the ECL-600 as fire-rated exit control hardware, and holds its fire approval through Warnock Hersey / ETL rather than UL.
