Buckeye 5 lb Standard BC Fire Extinguisher, Wall Mount or Vehicle Bracket, UL Listed 40-B:C

Standard BC dry chemical (sodium bicarbonate) is rated for Class B and C fires: flammable liquids and energized electrical equipment. It is not rated for Class A fires such as wood, paper or cloth. Buckeye sells this as its 5 lb unit; it holds 5.5 lb of agent, is rated 40-B:C, discharges in 14 seconds, and reaches 12–18 ft (3.7–5.5 m). It comes with a wall mount or a vehicle bracket. Buckeye does not recommend it for sensitive electronic equipment.

At 40-B:C it clears both minimums in 49 CFR 393.95 for commercial motor vehicle power units: 5-B:C, and 10-B:C when transporting placarded hazardous materials. Buckeye builds it to ANSI/UL 299 and ANSI/UL 711 (UL and ULC listed), DOT and Transport Canada compliant, with a powder-coated steel cylinder and trilingual English, Spanish and French labels.
