Chemical Protection
PVC and polyurethane chemical protective suits, aprons, and rainwear for splash protection against acids, caustics, solvents, and industrial chemicals. These are durable reusable garments built for regular-duty field work (not disposable chemical suits for hazmat response). Heavy-duty rain gear in this category is also rated for chemical splash protection. Choose the garment based on the chemical exposure on the SDS — not all PVC is rated for all chemicals.
Chemical protective clothing is typically used alongside respiratory protection under OSHA 1910.134 wherever airborne chemical hazards are present. Workplaces that handle blood or OPIM must also meet OSHA 1910.1030 bloodborne pathogens requirements, which often mandate splash-proof garments.
