Corner Guards
Corner guards protect outside wall corners from impact in high-traffic areas. Stainless steel guards are used in commercial kitchens, restaurants, hospitals, schools and data centers. Stainless corner guards made in the USA are listed here.
Picking a corner guard
| Choice | What it means |
|---|---|
| Gauge | 18 ga stainless is the standard guard; 16 ga is the heavy-duty option. The lower the gauge number, the thicker the steel. |
| Wing width | How far the guard reaches along each wall from the corner. Standard widths run from 1-1/2 to 3-1/2 in; a wider wing covers more of each wall. |
| Angle | 90° fits a square outside corner and 135° fits an angled one. Check the corner before you order. |
| Length | 48 in is the standard piece; longer lengths are made to order. |
| Mounting | Screws through pre-drilled holes, construction adhesive, or adhesive strips. Each listing says which way it is set up. |
For walls in food-service and processing rooms, our food processing sealants guide covers sealants for washdown areas.
