AED Cabinets

Wall cabinets and enclosures that protect an AED (automated external defibrillator) and make it easy to find in an emergency. A cabinet keeps the unit clean and tamper-protected, mounts it at a consistent height, and — with an audible alarm and clear AED graphics — helps people locate the device fast when seconds matter.

Choose by mounting

Semi-recessed cabinets set most of the tub into the wall for a low-profile look that meets the ADA projection limit of 4 inches or less — the right choice for corridors and egress paths where a surface box would protrude too far. Surface-mount cabinets bolt to the wall face and need no wall cavity, so they suit masonry, thin walls, and back-of-house areas.

Choose by material

Steel (white powder coat) is the standard, cost-effective choice for offices, schools, and general commercial interiors. Clear-anodized aluminum resists corrosion in humid or coastal environments. #4 brushed stainless steel suits health-care, food-service, and premium architectural interiors where cleanability and finish matter.

Features

Every cabinet includes an 85 dB door alarm with a keyed on/off switch to deter tampering, plus AED identification graphics. The interior is sized to accommodate most AED brands on the market. Recessed and semi-recessed models meet the ADA projection requirement of 4 inches or less. A fire-rated option (UL 1479, up to 2 hours) is available for cabinets recessed into fire-resistance-rated walls — contact us for the fire-rated model.

Placement

Mount the cabinet so the AED is visible and reachable along the path people travel in an emergency. AED placement and signage requirements vary by state, building code, and occupancy, so confirm your local requirements when siting the cabinet. All cabinets are made in the USA by JL Industries.
