Physio-Control
Physio-Control makes LIFEPAK defibrillators. Founded in 1955 and based in Redmond, Washington, the company introduced its first LIFEPAK defibrillator in 1968. Stryker acquired Physio-Control in 2016, and it is now part of Stryker's Emergency Care business. The LIFEPAK CR2 AED is FDA approved.
The LIFEPAK CR2
The LIFEPAK CR2 is a public-access AED that runs its own self-tests, and the WiFi version can report its readiness when it is connected to Stryker's AED program service. Its cprINSIGHT technology shortens the pause before a shock and keeps more of the rescue on chest compressions. One set of QUIK-STEP electrodes covers adults and children, with the Child Mode button lowering the energy for a child. The CR2 carries an 8-year warranty.
We carry the semi-automatic WiFi CR2 and replacement QUIK-STEP electrodes in our AED collection, and wall cabinets to house it in AED cabinets. For where units should go, see our AED requirements and cabinet placement guide.
