The unit features a durable dark bronze finish that resists wear in high-traffic commercial and institutional environments.

This Guard-X model incorporates Von Duprin's proven alarm mechanism that activates when the door is opened, providing both security monitoring and audible notification when the door is used. The lock body construction delivers Grade 1 performance ratings for operational cycles and durability testing. Installation includes strike hardware, screw pack, and battery for immediate deployment. The 710 dark bronze finish coordinates with architectural hardware schemes while providing corrosion resistance for extended service life.

Commercial buildings, schools, healthcare facilities and retail environments use this exit alarm lock for the combination of security monitoring and free egress. It is an exit alarm lock, not a delayed egress device. Maintenance teams appreciate the straightforward battery replacement and adjustment procedures for ongoing reliability.
