Falcon
Falcon is a commercial door-hardware brand within the Allegion family that has operated for over 40 years. The brand acquired Dor-O-Matic in 1997, integrating its narrow-stile exit-device expertise, and specializes in cost-effective security solutions that meet or exceed ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 and Grade 2 standards.
Cylindrical locks and mortise locks
Falcon's T Series extra-heavy-duty cylindrical locks exceed Grade 1 requirements with compression-spring mechanisms and Pressure Release lever rotation to prevent internal damage; the B and W Series provide Grade 2 performance for medium-traffic applications. The MA Series Grade 1 mortise locks and MB Series Grade 2 mortise locks offer conventional or SFIC interchangeable-core options compatible with other manufacturers' systems, enabling quick re-keying without locksmith services.
Exit devices
The Falcon exit-device line covers the 1990/2090 narrow-stile crossbar series (Grade 1, designed for aluminum storefront doors), the 1690/1790 touch bar series, and the classic XX Series crossbar devices, certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.3. Door closers and Dor-O-Matic
The integrated Dor-O-Matic line covers the SC60A (light-to-medium duty Grade 1), SC80 (medium duty Grade 1), and SC90 (medium duty Grade 3) door closers. The door closer selection guide walks through Grade 1 vs Grade 2 ratings, ADA opening force, and fire-rated requirements.
Compliance
Falcon products are UL-listed for fire-rated applications up to 3 hours, meet ADA accessibility requirements, and use field-reversible, non-handed designs for installation flexibility. Applications span government, military, retail, industrial, healthcare, education, and multifamily facilities. The full Falcon catalog and CSI specs are at us.allegion.com/falcon.
