Dentec 79210 TSI PortaCount Fit Test Adapter

This Dentec Safety Specialists adapter lets you run quantitative fit tests on Dentec respirators with a TSI PortaCount. It is the adapter on its own, for replacing a worn one when you already have the clips, tubing, suction cups, and filters from the 79200 kit. The PortaCount itself is not included. Dentec lists it as USA made, and their respirator plant is in Lenexa, Kansas.

OSHA 1910.134 calls for a fit test before anyone first wears a tight-fitting respirator, again whenever the facepiece changes, and at least once a year, using one of the protocols in Appendix A. A pass covers the exact make, model, style, and size tested and nothing else. The qualitative protocols only go up to a required fit factor of 100, so a full facepiece relied on above that has to be tested quantitatively.
