This 10-inch adjustable spud wrench from Klein Tools combines a traditional spud with an extra-wide adjustable wrench that opens to 1-7/16 inches. The tool handles heavy nuts and bolts up to 7/8 inch while providing an 8-inch continuous-taper handle for aligning bolt and rivet holes in structural ironwork. Built with a designated lanyard hole for tethering in fall protection applications, it's compatible with Klein's TT1 tether system.
Forged from select alloy steel and made in the USA, this spud wrench features precision-machined jaws that are individually chosen and assembled by hand for smooth operation. The industrial finish resists corrosion while the knurled adjustment mechanism turns smoothly for easy operation. At 10 inches total length, this "baby spud" provides a convenient, handy size for ironworkers and structural crews without sacrificing the strength needed for heavy construction work.
This tool eliminates the need to carry multiple fixed-size wrenches on the job. The combination design makes it essential for structural steel erection, bridge work, and high-rise construction where both spud alignment and wrench functions are needed. The tether hole ensures compliance with fall protection requirements when working at height.
