JL Industries LifeStart Steel Recessed Fire-Rated AED Cabinet 1415F12FX2

The JL Industries LifeStart 1415F12FX2 is the fire-rated version of the recessed 1415F12 AED cabinet, made in the USA. It is for a fire-resistance-rated wall, where recessing a standard cabinet may compromise the wall's rating. The cabinet is UL listed and labeled as a membrane penetration firestop system for walls rated up to 2 hours, to UL 1479 (ASTM E814) and CAN/ULC-S115, when installed exactly per its instructions. Fire-resistant insulation is attached to the outside of the tub.

The white powder-coated steel cabinet has 3/8 in flat trim, so it sits in the wall and projects 4 inches or less. A built-in 85 dB door alarm with a keyed on/off switch deters tampering, and AED graphics make it easy to find. If the wall is not rated, the standard 1415F12 costs less.
