JL Industries LifeStart Exterior Surface Mount AED Cabinet 1463F12

The JL Industries LifeStart 1463F12 is a surface-mounted AED cabinet built for outdoors, made in the USA. Where the interior LifeStart cabinets are cold-rolled steel, this one is 18-gauge galvanneal steel with a white powder-coat finish, and the formed door closes on a continuous bulb gasket that keeps rain out of the AED. A stainless steel turn handle and a continuous exterior hinge replace the interior line's pull, the clear acrylic window carries screen-printed AED graphics, and the standard 85 dB Commander alarm sounds when the door opens, with a keyed on/off switch on the side of the cabinet.

AED compatibility

The 15 by 15 by 9 in interior takes most AEDs in their carrying case. Confirm your AED's footprint and depth before ordering, and check the manufacturer's storage temperature range: an outdoor cabinet keeps water out, it does not heat or cool the unit, so a pool deck in Minnesota needs a heated enclosure instead.
