Saf-T-Cart 1324 IIE-FW Firewall Cart with Lockable Cabinet

The Saf-T-Cart 1324 IIE is what Saf-T-Cart calls the original Saf-T-Cart, designed to secure the entire cutting unit. The 1324 IIE-FW carries oxygen and acetylene cylinders behind a steel firewall, plus a lockable cabinet where the regulators, torches and tips stay mounted as part of the unit.

Saf-T-Cart lists as standard: a lifting eye rated 1,000 lb, permaclamps, oxygen and fuel-gas fittings, and flex pigtails with fittings for your regulators. The 1324 IIE-FW-FL adds fork stirrups for moving the cart with a forklift.

Why the firewall: OSHA requires oxygen cylinders in storage to be kept 20 ft from fuel-gas cylinders and combustible materials, or separated from them by a noncombustible barrier at least 5 ft high with a fire-resistance rating of at least half an hour (OSHA 1910.253(b)(4)(iii)). Saf-T-Cart states its firewalls are at least 60 in tall, block the line of sight between the oxygen and fuel-gas cylinders and carry a 30-minute burn rating, and says its firewall carts meet and exceed OSHA 1910.253.
