Saf-T-Cart Corporation has manufactured cylinder carts in Clarksdale, Mississippi since 1945, with every cart, dolly, stand, and trailer built domestically. The line is specified by welding shops, medical gas suppliers, industrial gas distributors, and fire-service facilities that move compressed gas cylinders daily. Firewall-separation carts are tagged for the OSHA 1910.253 oxygen/fuel-gas separation requirement.

Single and dual cylinder carts

Saf-T-Cart's range covers single-cylinder dollies for one-tank jobs, medium and large dual-cylinder carts for oxy/acetylene welding rigs, and welding box carts that combine cylinder transport with on-cart accessory storage. Welders also call these welding carts, torch carts, cutting torch carts, or torch bottle carts; a single-cylinder dolly carrying a welding cylinder is sometimes called a torch dolly. Firewall carts and OSHA 1910.253

Firewall cylinder carts add a welded steel divider between the oxygen and fuel-gas cylinder positions. The divider satisfies the OSHA 1910.253(b)(4)(iii) requirement to separate oxygen cylinders from fuel-gas cylinders by either 20 feet of distance or a non-combustible barrier at least 5 feet high during storage, and is widely specified for in-use cart separation as well.
