Cato Surface Mount Fire Alarm Pull Station Cover Clear 220-S

The Cato 220-S is a surface mount protective cover for a manual fire alarm pull station. A hinged clear polycarbonate cover sits over a red backbox, so the station underneath stays visible and readable while gaining a deliberate second action before it can be pulled. The cover is labeled PULL TO OPEN across the lift tab and carries vertical FIRE lettering on the side.

Why a cover

Pull stations are mounted at exits and along paths of egress where they are easy to reach, which is also where they get bumped by carts and equipment, tampered with, or pulled on purpose. Schools, gyms, dormitories, correctional and behavioral-health facilities, and warehouses see this most. A cover protects the device. It does not change how the alarm system is designed, installed, or inspected.
