JL Industries
JL Industries, a brand of Activar Construction Products Group, manufactures fire extinguisher cabinets, AED cabinets, and fire protection specialties in the United States, at plants in Bloomington, Minnesota and Commerce, California. The line is built for commercial, institutional, and public-project specifications, where the wall equipment has to match the drawings and the code.
Fire extinguisher cabinets
US Made Supply is an authorized JL Industries distributor and offers cabinet families for most wall conditions. The Embassy series is a trimless, fully recessed architectural cabinet for a finished look in corridors and lobbies, and the Economyline series surface-mounts to the wall face where there is no cavity to recess into. Impact-resistant Cato plastic cabinets add an option built for outdoor and parking-garage exposure. A fire-rated (FX2) option carries a UL 1479 (ASTM E814) classification up to two hours, so a recessed cabinet can serve in a fire-resistance-rated wall when it is installed per that listing. AED cabinets
The LifeStart line protects an AED (automated external defibrillator) and keeps it visible in an emergency, in steel, clear-anodized aluminum, and brushed stainless steel for offices, schools, healthcare, and other demanding interiors. Each LifeStart cabinet includes an 85 dB door alarm with a keyed on/off switch and AED graphics, and the recessed and semi-recessed models keep their wall projection within the 4-inch limit the ADA allows for objects along a circulation path.
