JL Industries EZ-Up Folding Ladder Safety Post LP-6

The JL Industries EZ-Up LP-6 gives a person climbing through a roof hatch something to hold onto. It mounts permanently at the roof hatch and acts as an extension of the fixed ladder, so the user keeps a secure handhold while stepping on and off the ladder at the roofline, which is where ladder falls happen. When not in use the post folds flat, staying clear of the hatch opening.

Where it fits

Any fixed ladder that terminates at a roof hatch. The transition on and off the top of a ladder is the moment with the least to hold onto, and a post that extends above the hatch line is the straightforward fix. Pair it with a roof hatch and, where the hatch opening needs guarding, a hatch safety railing.
