Everkem Diversified Products Sound Seal 90 is a latex-based acoustical sealant designed to reduce sound transmission, block smoke and drafts in construction assemblies. This 20-ounce sausage tube contains a gun-grade sealant that meets ASTM envelope standards including ASTM-E90 for sound reduction, ASTM-C834 for adhesion, ASTM-C919 for sag resistance, and ASTM-E84 for flame spread. The low VOC formula contains only 23 g/L of volatile organic compounds and carries LEED v4 emissions compliance.
This mold and mildew resistant sealant provides strong, flexible adhesion that maintains building assembly STC ratings over time. The compound is ASTM-G21 tested for biological resistance and offers EcoSeal environmental certification. Sound Seal 90 applies easily with standard caulk guns and maintains elasticity after curing. Note that this product is not approved for use in fire-rated assemblies where fire-stopping properties are required.
Use Sound Seal 90 around electrical boxes, HVAC penetrations, partition heads, and other gaps where acoustic performance matters. The product works well in office buildings, hotels, hospitals, and multi-family construction where sound control between spaces is critical. Made in the USA with consistent quality control.
