Everkem Diversified Products Fire Seal 136 is a residential fireblocking caulk designed for non-fire-rated construction. This 10.1 oz cartridge meets ASTM-E814 and ASTM-E136 non-combustibility standards with ASTM-E84 surface burning characteristics. The low VOC formula contains less than 1 g/L and carries UL classification for code compliance.
The caulk provides excellent adhesion to most materials and remains flexible after curing without shrinking, cracking, or crumbling. It's chemically compatible with pipe fittings and tubing commonly found in residential construction. The easily identifiable color helps inspectors verify proper installation. This EcoSeal product is manufactured in the USA and meets low-emission requirements for indoor air quality.
Fire Seal 136 works well for sealing penetrations in residential wood frame construction where fireblocking is required but full fire ratings are not necessary. Use it around pipes, conduits, and cables passing through walls, floors, and ceiling assemblies in single-family homes and low-rise residential buildings.
