Corbin Russwin

Corbin Russwin has made commercial grade door hardware for commercial and institutional buildings since 1839. Based in Berlin, Connecticut, it is an ASSA ABLOY brand, and its line covers mortise and cylindrical locks, exit devices, door closers, key systems and electronic access control. Its ML2000 Series mortise locks and ED5000 Series exit devices are ANSI/BHMA Grade 1, with UL listings for fire doors and panic hardware. ML2000 Series mortise locks

The ML2000 Series is certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.13 Series 1000, Operational and Security Grade 1, and meets the A117.1 accessibility code. Corbin Russwin lists it with UL and cUL to UL 10C for A label fire doors, 3 hour, and the lock can be re-handed in the field without opening the case. The standard cylinder ships 0-bitted with two blank keys, so plan to have it keyed.

ED5000 Series exit devices

The ED5000 Series meets ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1, with its ED5200 rim devices classified Type 1. It is listed with UL and cUL as panic hardware to UL 305, and its 3 hour fire rated devices as fire exit hardware. Corbin Russwin says all its exit devices comply with NFPA 101 and its fire rated devices with NFPA 80. Find the panic and fire rated wide stile rim devices in satin stainless, exit only, among our rim exit devices. Newport lever trims for those devices, in passage, classroom, nightlatch and storeroom functions, are among our exit device parts. The trim is handed, and the rim cylinder is not included.

Door closers and other Corbin Russwin hardware

Corbin Russwin's DC6000 and DC8000 Series door closers are built to ANSI/BHMA A156.4 Grade 1. The DC8000 Series closer has a cast iron body, adjusts from size 1 to 6 and meets UL 10C positive pressure. Find it with the standard tri-packed arm, or with the A1 hold open arm, which code does not allow on fire doors, among our surface door closers.
