How does this cabinet mount?
It surface-mounts to the wall face, so it needs only blocking and no wall cavity. It suits masonry, thin walls, and back-of-house areas.
Do I need a key to open this cabinet?
No. The front is a sliding clear acrylic panel held by a retainer clip, not a locking door. Release the clip and slide the panel out of its channel for the annual extinguisher inspection, then slide it back. Nothing gets broken and no key is needed. The top lip is pre-drilled if you want to add a padlock, and the breaker bar on the chain is there for emergency access if the cabinet has been padlocked.
