The JL Industries Royal 3617F10 is a semi-recessed steel cabinet built to hold a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket in one place, made in the USA. The 12 in by 36 in tub has a shelf that separates the two: the extinguisher stands below, the folded blanket sits above, both behind one full-view clear acrylic door on a continuous hinge with a pull handle and roller catch. White powder coat door, trim and tub, 2-1/2 in rolled trim.

The blanket

JL's matching fire blanket is 62 in by 80 in, a 2.75 lb processed 70% wool and 30% synthetic blanket that meets 16 CFR Part 1610, the federal flammability standard for clothing textiles. Placement and mounting height for the extinguisher follow the NFPA 10 requirements.

Where this model fits

Commercial kitchens, labs, welding and hot-work areas, and school science rooms are where a blanket belongs next to the extinguisher; the Royal keeps both where staff will look for them. Semi-recessed suits a wall that can give up 5-5/8 in of depth, and the 2-1/2 in trim stays within the 4 in protrusion limit for a corridor. This model is built to order at the factory.
