Purple K Extinguishers
Purple K is a potassium-bicarbonate dry chemical agent rated for Class B and Class C fires. On hydrocarbon fuels — gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, hydraulic oil, lube oil — it is roughly twice as effective by weight as standard ABC monoammonium phosphate, which is why it's specified for petroleum facilities, aviation refueling, marine engine rooms, bulk fuel terminals, and racing pit operations. Listed to ANSI/UL 299 and ANSI/UL 711.
Choose Purple K over ABC when the fuel mix is overwhelmingly flammable liquids and the Class A load is negligible. PK has no A rating — it won't suppress wood, paper, or fabric fires. For mixed-hazard occupancies, either pair PK units with Class A water or AFFF extinguishers, or step up to a larger-capacity ABC unit that covers all three classes.
Wide operating temperature range (-65°F to +120°F) makes PK structurally suited to outdoor and cold-environment installations where wet chemical, foam, or water agents freeze. Common installs are airport refueling, fuel farms, marine vessels, oil-and-gas facilities, racing facilities, and chemical storage areas.

Also available as high-capacity wheeled carts
For large flammable-liquid hazards, the same Purple K agent comes in 50 lb and 125 lb wheeled carts, with far more agent and reach than a handheld, for fuel farms, aviation refueling, and pit operations.
