Buckeye Fire Equipment builds the K-150-SP around 125 lb of potassium bicarbonate (Purple K) dry chemical, rated 320-B:C with a 54-second discharge, a 50 ft hose, and 30–40 ft of effective range. Manufactured in accordance with the ANSI/UL 299 dry chemical fire extinguisher standard and fire-tested under UL 711.

Stored pressure means the cylinder ships fully charged — pull, aim, squeeze, sweep, with no nitrogen cartridge to install at the moment of use. The unit is designed for one-man operation, rolls through standard doorways and over rough terrain on semi-pneumatic rubber tires, and accepts an optional tow loop for vehicle transport. It is rechargeable and can also be configured as a stationary unit. The −65°F to +120°F operating range covers unheated buildings, outdoor fuel areas, and cold-climate sites.

Buckeye lists the K-150-SP for aircraft facilities, offshore rigs, ship docks, refineries, chemical plants, construction sites, and storage and loading facilities. NFPA 10 places wheeled extinguishers in their own category and credits them toward extra-hazard occupancy protection at greater travel distances, and facilities conducting aircraft fuel servicing under NFPA 407 are the classic home for high-capacity Purple K units.
