Buckeye's 10 lb. dry chemical fire extinguisher, formulated with monoammonium phosphate, effectively combats Class A, B, and C fires. This multipurpose ABC extinguisher suits homes, offices, warehouses, vehicles, farms, and woodworking shops. It is not recommended for use on sensitive electronics or computers. Built to meet ANSI/UL 299 and ANSI/UL 711 standards and DOT regulations, it features a durable polyester epoxy powder-coated steel cylinder and an anodized all-metal valve. Approved by the US Coast Guard (with mounting bracket), it offers a discharge range of 15–21 feet and operates reliably between -65°F and 120°F.
DOT Vehicle Size Recommendations
DOT 49 CFR §393.95 requires commercial motor vehicles to carry a UL-listed fire extinguisher. Minimum size depends on vehicle class and whether the load is placarded hazmat.
