The JL Industries Academy 1025W10 is a recessed aluminum fire extinguisher cabinet with a locking door, made in the USA. The 3/8 in flat trim sits almost flush, the door and trim are clear satin anodized aluminum over a white steel tub, and the vertical-duo door pairs an aluminum panel with a narrow clear acrylic window. The W door style adds JL's Saf-T-Lok cylinder lock with two keys, for a corridor or public space where an unlocked cabinet gets opened for no reason.

Is this cabinet fire-rated?
No, this is a standard (non-rated) cabinet, which is fine in a non-fire-rated wall or for surface mounting. To recess a cabinet into a fire-rated wall, choose a fire-rated (FX2) model.
How does this cabinet mount?
It is a fully-recessed cabinet: the tub sits inside the wall, so it needs a wall cavity deeper than the tub. The trim style is in the specifications above.
Do I need a key to open this cabinet?
For routine access, yes, and two keys are included: this door style has JL's Saf-T-Lok cylinder lock, so the annual extinguisher inspection means unlocking the door with the key and pulling it open on its continuous hinge, and nothing gets broken. In an emergency, no key is needed: the Saf-T-Lok is built so a sharp pull on the door breaks or bends a replaceable plastic cam and opens the cabinet, which is how it deters tampering without blocking access. JL makes the same cabinet without the lock if the site would rather rely on the roller catch alone.
