The JL Industries Classic 9163Z30 is a low-cost surface-mount fire extinguisher cabinet for a 5 lb extinguisher, made in the USA and sold as a factory 2-pack. The tub is galvanneal steel with a white finish, and instead of a hinged door it has a fixed clear acrylic face plate, scored to break, secured by a Twin Top cylinder lock and supplied with a tethered breaker bar, chain and decals. It mounts on the wall face, so there is no opening to cut.

Where this model fits

The Classic is the cabinet for a job that needs a lot of them on a budget, on walls that cannot be cut: warehouses, back-of-house corridors, garages, tilt-up buildings. The break-front keeps the extinguisher from walking off and still gives emergency access without a key. Replacement scored acrylic panels are a stock JL part.
