JL Industries Panorama Stainless Surface Mount Frameless Fire Extinguisher Cabinet 20 lb 2033P42

The JL Industries Panorama 2033P42 is a surface-mount fire extinguisher cabinet for a 20 lb extinguisher, with a frameless door, made in the USA. The whole cabinet mounts on the wall face, so there is no wall opening to cut: it suits masonry, tilt-up, thin partitions, and any wall you cannot open up. On the surface-mount build the tub is the same 304 stainless as the door and trim, so the cabinet is stainless on every visible face. The 42 glazing is 3/16 in white acrylic with black vertical FIRE EXTINGUISHER lettering, so the cabinet is identified from down the corridor without putting the extinguisher itself on display. JL rates this tub for Cosmic and Galaxy extinguishers up to 20 lb, Mercury from 2.5 to 15 lb, Sentinel from 5 to 10 lb, and the Grenadier, Saturn and Nebula 270 and 272. Where this model fits

Surface mount is the answer when the wall cannot be opened: masonry, tilt-up, a rated wall you do not want to penetrate, or a retrofit where cutting is off the table. The cabinet stands 8 in off the wall, so it belongs in a recess, an alcove, or a location outside a corridor or means of egress, where the 4 in protrusion limit applies; where it does apply, a recessed or semi-recessed model of this tub is the right choice.
