JL Industries Classic Galvanneal Recessed Fire Extinguisher Cabinet 5 lb 916AZ30 2-Pack

The JL Industries Classic 916AZ30 is a low-cost recessed fire extinguisher cabinet for a 5 lb extinguisher, made in the USA and sold as a factory 2-pack. The galvanneal steel tub goes into the wall and a 1-1/2 in wide, 2-3/4 in high trim flange covers the cut edge. Instead of a hinged door it has a fixed clear acrylic face plate, scored to break, secured by a Twin Top cylinder lock and supplied with a tethered breaker bar, chain and decals.

Extinguisher compatibility

Where this model fits

Same job as the surface-mount 9163Z30, for a wall that can be cut: the 3-3/4 in rough opening depth fits a standard stud partition and the 2-3/4 in flange keeps it inside the 4 in protrusion limit for a corridor. Replacement scored acrylic panels are a stock JL part. The product images are representative of this configuration; the cabinet ships built as specified in the table above.
