JL Industries Cosmopolitan Stainless Steel Recessed Fire Extinguisher Cabinet 10 lb 1035V10

The JL Industries Cosmopolitan 1035V10 is a fully recessed stainless steel fire extinguisher cabinet for a 10 lb extinguisher, made in the USA. The 3/8 in flat square-edge trim sits nearly flush with the wall, and the vertical-duo door pairs a stainless panel with a narrow clear acrylic window, so the extinguisher is visible without a full glass front. Door and trim are stainless steel in a #4 satin finish, specified where a painted steel cabinet will not hold up: commercial kitchens, food processing, healthcare, laboratories and washdown areas. The door swings on a stainless continuous hinge that opens 180 degrees, with a zinc-plated pull handle and roller catch, so there is no lock and no key. The photo shows the 1835W10, which has the same flat trim and vertical duo door but adds a Saf-T-Lok and has a shallower 5-1/2 in tub. This cabinet has no lock and ships built as specified in the table below.

Extinguisher compatibility

JL rates this tub for Cosmic and Galaxy extinguishers from 2.5 to 10 lb, Mercury from 2.5 to 5 lb, and the 5 lb Sentinel. Before ordering, compare your extinguisher's overall height, handle included, with the tub's inside height and its overall width, hose included, with the inside width. Its cylinder diameter has to fit the 6 in tub depth. Allow at least 1 in of clearance each way and check that it fits through the door opening. Model cross-reference

The same recessed stainless cabinet with a full-view door is the 1035F10, and the semi-recessed version with a full-view door is the 1037F10 (3 in rolled trim, 3-1/8 in deep opening against 5-7/8 in here).
