JL Industries Ambassador Steel Recessed Fire Extinguisher Cabinet 10 lb 1015F10

The JL Industries Ambassador 1015F10 is a fully recessed steel fire extinguisher cabinet for a 10 lb extinguisher, made in the USA. The full-view door is a single 8-1/2 in × 22-3/4 in clear acrylic pane, so the extinguisher is visible without opening the door, and the 3/8 in flat square-edge trim sits nearly flush with the wall. The door swings on a continuous hinge that opens 180 degrees and closes on a zinc-plated pull handle with roller catch, so there is no lock and no key. The photo shows the 1017F10, which has the same full-view door on a 3 in rolled trim. This cabinet has the 3/8 in flat trim and ships built as specified in the table below.

Extinguisher compatibility

JL rates this tub for dry-chemical extinguishers from 2.5 to 10 lb, Halotron clean agent from 2.5 to 5 lb, and a 5 lb CO2 extinguisher. Before ordering, compare your extinguisher's overall height, handle included, with the tub's inside height and its overall width, hose included, with the inside width. Its cylinder diameter has to fit the 6 in tub depth. Allow at least 1 in of clearance each way and check that it fits through the door opening. Full view or vertical duo?

This cabinet and the 1015V10 are the same cabinet with a different door: the F10 is one full-view pane, the V10 pairs a steel panel with a narrow window. Tub, trim, rough opening and extinguisher compatibility are identical, so if a drawing names one door style, order that one. Either drops into the same 11-1/2 in × 25 in × 5-7/8 in opening.
